Hey guys i heard if you had the clear bra on and you use tire shine it can damage the sides of the clear bra by the wheel well and turn it yellow. has anyone heard of this happening? and need help picking out a color...dg with stone or Ip with stone??????? which would you pick?

Some makes of clear bra are clear coated so there is virtually no issue with yellowing.

 

You are probably talking about the 3m clear bra. I've had problems with it yellowing before. It doesn't really have anything to do with what you put on it. I was told that it is the property of the adhesive that makes it turn yellow over time. That's why I switched to someone using Venture clear bra.

 

The older 3M clearbra had a problem w/ yellowing. The new formulation is supposed to be much better. Some tire shines sling off the tire and onto the car body though. i'm sure the oil is not very good for the paint.
