And for everyone, the clutch is meant to engage high, so you can blip the clutch and still shift, i find i smell the clucth more when i try and press it down, instead of when i just blip it and shift. It was made not to be depressed all the way to floor. The same way the suspension has a negative camber for good highspeed cornering. Just make sure they rotate your tires everytime you get and oil change and you will be fine. for the feathering.
Heh, drive your G like it was supposed to be driven, a fairly inexpensive toy made to enhance testosterone levels...

Coming from a BMW I thought the only time the clutch needs to go all the way down is for starting the car. The rest of the time when shifting you need to just push the clutch past the engagement point...
Another point is that people install clutch stops all the time. I haven't read anything that says it would wear on your clutch....

it is a bit annoying how high the engage point is on this car. when i first got the car, i was worried the whole time about either stalling or hitting the car in front of me. *shrug*, you get used to it after a while. hard car to learn mt, imho. luckily, i have been driving since 91 and never had a auto car. refuse to buy them. the viseral feeling of manual is the best. i dont care if the car is paddle shifted and may be faster then a manual. its all about feel for me.
btw - on rev matching, try this to get to understand what it is. depress the clutch. "blip" the throttle with the heel of your right foot as you are breaking with the toe of the same foot. let the engine rev from like 3K rpm to about 5+k rpm, depending on speed. when the rmps reach the peak of your blip, move the gear selector from 4th to 2nd and release the clutch. it should slide into gear easier and the car will not "jerk" (i.e. slow down or accelerate with the changing of gears) i would have suggested maybe a 1K rpm difference and 4th to 3rd gear as a test, but damn. the brembos really grab and slow you down so fast that i think 4th - 2nd is easier to realize while breaking then 4th - 3rd. when you are in 2nd, you hit the corner exit, there is no jerk (weight shift) in the car, and you accelerate out of the corner, it feels absolutely amazing!
btw - sorry if you know all this already. it just makes my day when i am shifting well and take a corner smoothly, so i thought i would share.
