speed

hey guys quick question. I was gonna buy a g35 later this year, and I was wondering which car is faster now?

the 280hp/270torque Auto
or the 298 hp/260 torque 6mt?

Can anyone list 0-60 and quarter mile times for both? thanks

The 6MT will put more power to the rear wheels. But I would suggest you buy the tranny you are more comfortable with. Is the small difference in power THAT important to you?

^^^ what he said. go with the tranny you want, the differences in 0-60 will by minimal, but the effect on your driving style will be huge.

The 6 M/T with the extra ratio will always be quicker over a 5-auto (with the same power), so I'd say the manual tranny would be slightly faster. But as the guys say, go with the tranny that your comfortable with.
For my rides, I always buy auto and they're quick enough for me, but if you like manual, go with one.

Your driving style, local traffic patterns are more important than a small (potential) gain that can be had with a 6mt and a good driver.
If you will be in a lot of big city stop and go driving I would not consider the mt regardless of any performance gain.

Yep, that coupe is what we Americans refer to as the 6MT. The M6 designation brands him as a Cannuck (said in good humor).

All my friends drive manual, I dont know how to drive it, but I wanna learn.

I will be in stop and go traffic everyday, but it doesn't stop them. They say in a sports car the real fun way to drive one is manual, that true?

And I asked this also cause someone told me the 6mt got slower than the 04 this year.

I'd say go for it.. manual is fun.. especially when you have 6 gears =).. but on a car like the G it is not easy to learn..

I'm in stop in go traffic.. helps me cuts lanes and keeps me busy.. traffic = t3h bored.. but seriously once you get use to it you do it automatically. You can be 3% awake and still shift like a normal person

tell that person he smells

Yep, just as aerisolphaln said. I've changed my sig back and forth but decided to stay with the model as it's designated here by Infiniti Canada.

No offence taken at all. We actually spell it Canuck.
I really like the M6 model name. IMO it makes more sense and sounds better. Here in Canada we have no base models and the M6 includes what you would have as premium, aero, sports package etc.

Canucks are Americans too. Look on the map.

I would learn to drive a manual on a beater and not a G. I gaurantee you'll burn a couple of clutches on the G before you become proficient.
