"SLIP" light permanently on

I've noticed that when I inadvertantly spin the car, the SLIP light stays on and VDC will not turn on until I restart the car. Is this normal behaviour? I can't find anything in the manual about it. This is during skidpad training and on an autox course btw...I'm not doing this on streets.

Off. VDC won't turn back on when the slip light is on. I have to restart the car for VDC to be on aftewards.

Yeah thats normal. VDC is still activated even if you turn it off. I think the VDC control module gets confused when it keeps trying to stop the slippage, and you keep slamming the gas in order to do a donut.

yup... i've heard that it is normal. I have never tried it myself. They say to "actually" turn off VDC is to pull the abs fuse...

Yeh bro, it's designed to do that, and will reset after shutting off and restarting.

Yea pretty much what everyone else said. Basically when you push the VDC button, the VDC itself still remains on and isn't completely turned off. What the reasoning is for this I don't know. When you pull those spins and the SLIP light remains on, it means the VDC is totally shut off. You'll notice those first couple spins the VDC will fight it, but once the SLIP light stays lit spinning will be much easier because the VDC is disable. Turn the car off then back on, and the VDC is operating as usual.
