Angry Friggin Love Bug Help

Besides using a car bra, clear bra etc.

Is there anything you guys spray on the front grill and bumper to ease the job of removing those useless critters after a long highway ride down I-75. It took me about 2 hours last night, using bug and tar remover by turtle wax, immediately after the trip.

I hoping there may be some tricks you guys would be willing to share.

I hate those friggin things..

Spraying something like armorall on the front before a long road trip really works to make it easy to clean later.
To clean now I don't know of any easy method. Soaking the bugs with soap and water for a while seems to loosen them up some.

Like RBull said above - I soak them with a lot of water, let them sit, then soak them again. I repeat until they are nice and soft then I lightly run my hand over them to remove the majority of the 'bug.' When the bumper looks clear I gently wash with my mitt or a microfibre until the paint feels smooth. Then more wax.

You can always put a bug screen on your car - cheap and easy and won't really damage the front end. They work pretty well for love bugs but look dorky as hell. I'd rather spend a half hour in the driveway after the trip cleaning than look like a dork with a screen on the front of my G.

I've found that keeping the front well waxed works quite well, altho I haven't tried the armour-all method yet.
To get the critters off means well soaking with warm water, or waiting 'til a cool damp morning when they're good and soft and easily removed.

I make sure I have a fresh coat of carnuba or Zaino on the front prior to extended trips. Makes clean up much, much easier and it doesn't take very long to wax the front of a vehicle (and roof line).

Just hope it does not rain. You will get that stuff all over that car. Why don't you try a coat of wax on the frunt first.
