Rear tire wear
#17
i got around 12k on them, the grip is great wet or dry. my front looked like they had a lot of life left on them but they were feathered (due to alignment being off) on the inside and had to be replaced aswell. as far as the tires wearing in the center because of the rims being to skinny for the tires. the reason being on my old car with the stock size tires they wore evenly, as soon as i put wider tires on they wore down the center. i wonder if the people with after market rims that are 10.5 inches wide with 275's have this problem.

I have the feathering on the front 18's on my coupe...had to have the tires broken down from the rims and remounted around 17000 miles. I now have almost 24000 miles and the tire wear on the fronts has evened out somewhat. I just had the dealer do a four wheel alignment and the car was quite a bit off of spec. I really didn't have any reason to suspect that my driving habits put the suspension out of alignment.
The rears are nearly bald in the center. I tried lowering the pressure, that hasn't seemed to have worked. 24k and its time for new rears.
