Sound system in trunk good/bad? (PICS)

Here is my set up in my trunk...its a 4080 box with a 10" W6..and the amp is a JL 500 watt mono block...Wiring is all JL audio...the amp rack and box allow for the cargo net to still work..i just didn't have it in when i took the pictures......what do u guys think?? redo the amp rack? or does it look fine??? I have the amp tilted 45 degrees back and about 10 degrees toward the trunk opening..the face slides in and out to allow access to the tools/spare tire underneath, while the amp remains up on a plate...the bass control **** is installed in the accessory panel by the hood release....i keep the gain at 1/5th..just a little bass...

Would you please post some more details? Specifically...

the sub enclosure: custom or stock part -- if stock where to buy?
cabling: where did you tap the amp input, where is the xover/filter?
stock setup you started with: bose or non?

Most important, any step by step and how do YOU like it? looks great. This is exactly what I want to do!

Thanks
Peet

Looks Sweet

Did 4080 make the box for the amp?

Also, can you post a pic of the bass ****?

The sub enclosure can be ordered from a member on this forum 4080...contact him....the AMP rack itself is custom from a installer at a audio dealer near me...took him 5-6 hours to build it how i wanted it...the stock system is BOSE....the line is tapped after the BOSE AMP with a Audio Control LC6 unit (followed their directions)....

I will take pics of the bass boost control **** on the accessory panel by the hood release....the panel was drilled and then the inside was clipped away to fit the **** in the back..perfect fit....took 5 minutes to install it...nice and low and out of the way...

I also switched the bulb in the trunk to a hyper white bulb to give more accent to the set up at night...because of the angle of the amp ...it reflects light nicely without any ricey neon lights...small touch of light to accent it all goes a long way

I personally LOVE IT..i don't use the system to shake the car apart or go booming down the street...the bass booster **** is at 0 or maybe 1/8th up...and the gain like i said is 1/5th..the system is not even at its full potential...over kill some say...but i LOVE JL products....

Very cool. Many thanks - I too don't thump (jazz listener) but the bose system is horrendous. Well, what did anyone expect from paper junk - they sukd in my two mercedes in the past, they still do. So does their home junk.

Wish we had the levinson stuff like lexus!

Thanks again!!

Ahh a JL trunk I have such fond memories of that. Looks good man, for some reason as I was looking at your trunk, and my first design in older ride popped into my head.. hehe

One word........CLEAN! Very tastefully done. U have good sound without giving up too much trunk space.
