brakes have squeaky noise on my 05 coupe

noticed my front brakes have squeaky noise come out of them when i'm slowing down from freeway speed. mentioned this to the dealership they told me to clean the brake rotors. i did that and the noise still there so i took my car in. the service guy told me it's a known problem for g35s but it's not warrant a recall because it's not a safety issue, yet. he also mentioned as the mileage piles up the noise will be gone(my car only have 4000 miles). has anyone noticed this too? or should i go to another dealership for a 2nd opinion.

Well, it's pretty common with the Brembo's...but I'm not sure about the 05's.

My 2005 coupe brakes have never made a sound and I am pushing 11,000 miles already, damn my commute to work!

I would go to another dealer, or take off one of the calipers and see if the pad is cracked or anything.

I've got an '04 6MT with about 20,000 miles. Sqeaking comes quite frequently, and it sounds like I need a break job. Apparently what happens with these brakes is that the dust builds up inside the caliper area and makes contact with the disks. Wheel Cleaner (make sure it's safe for your rims) works quite well, as does compressed air. Just make sure you don't inhale brake dust!

There's a ton of posts about breaks squeaking with Brembo's. Try the cleaining process and see if it will work for you.

Good luck

yeah, mine was not frequently as well, the noise will come when i drove the car in hot weather for some time and i don't hear a thing when i drive the car on the street, only happens when i'm on freeways.

Really? I have NEVER heard my brakes squeek. I thought the OEM brakes were the ones that had problems w/ squeeking.

Strange. I have 7,500 miles on my 05 and have yet to hear any noise come from the brakes. Go to a different dealer and see what they have to say.

'04 brembos

I've had my '04 for couple of weeks now since 7,500 miles and I've heard my brembos squeak sometimes but only with light pressure when I'm rolling and slowly stopping in traffic. Just like noisy transmission and vibrating shift **** it is a common problem, so I don't let it bother. As long as I'm not the only one with the problem, I'm fine with it. The car is hot otherwise.

i don't have a 6mt but the same thing happened to me when i had about 2000 miles. the brakes started squeaking and when i brought it back to the dealer they just told me that it's suppose to be like that which sounds like bull**** but now i'm at 3800 miles and it works fine but i took my rims off before and put them back on though
