Sport Z Magazine Editor-In-Chief a turncoat?! (cross post)
A deserter? A traitor? Not exactly. I still (and always will) love the Z. But with my typical snowboarding season running eight months of the year--from October to May--I needed a vehicle to carve up inclement mountain roads like a hyperactive snowcat on a quadruple shot of espresso. So I ordered a G35x from Grubbs Infiniti and had it delivered to my home in Albuquerque, NM.
A couple items of note. This will not be a magazine project car per se. But as G35 readership in SZM grows, we hope at some point to start a project G. For those interested in contributing to the magazine--from article ideas (Gs we should feature, new products, tech requests) to writing feature stories--e-mail me directly at editor@sportzmagazine.com or hit up G35 Editor Dave Ochenreider at DaveO@sportzmagazine.com.
We just put to bed the newest issue of SZM; look for a preview shortly. With 280 hp eagerly waiting to tear out of the garage, getting out the Summer 2005 magazine on time took more willpower than I expected. Needless to say, I’m excited to have joined your ranks as a G35 enthusiast--it'll be a fun ride.

Everyone keeps asking that, but if you study Nissan's approach it'll make sense. They (Nissan) will not release a car that will impede the GT-Rs launch and ultimate success. A six-speed, AWD G35C would kill the GT-Rs launch if released before. I say after a model year or two, they'll offer the Coupe with the GT-R's underbelly.

Welcome to the club of G35, it will be great to have you on this side of the fence
Having a AWD drive coupe would be sweet but after it's lowered, wouldn't still be a snow plow?

Just an FYI, speaking of an AWD G35 coupe, we do have some tidbits on an AWD coupe in our upcoming Summer 05 issue, as well as some details on a new single turbo kit for the coupe that has yet to be announced (and it's not APR). Look for Dave Ochenreider's post on the new issue later this week...
