New Kinetix Manifold installed with pics.

Ok just took her out for a ride. Did a couple quick runs and the car seemed to lag a bit. Didnt seem to have as much pull. After the runs I checked my air/fuel and at WOT it was at 9.8, before I was at 10.5. My car REALLY needs a good tune! I should be at 11.5 at WOT. SO the Jury is still out. I guess Ill have to report back after my Dyno tune.

Fingers Crossed!!! I am planning to get everything installed at once so I only have to tune one time.

Do you actually work at a shop or something? You remind me of Sharif ( http://www.forgedinternals.com ) New parts everywhere!

Does tunning only applys for FI cars, or does NA cars need it too?

Pretty much for FI cars. If you are N/A and have all the bolts on you can get Technosquare to flash your ECU. This will correct you a/f ratios to optimize your hp.

did you have your car dynoed before?

It would be interesting to see the before and after numbers.

NA cars need tuning as well, which TS ECU flash does for you. However, you will see more power from custom tuning because every car is different, although the gain will be minor in NA form.

Hmmm... that's weird. If anything, it should let more air in which will result in higher a/f ratio. Maybe the ECU is doing wierd things. Can't wait to see the final results after tuning!

Well most posts I have read of guys adding piggy backs to N/A motors has neted pretty minimal gains if any. NA cars need tuning but has not been figured out on this car only to optimize hp. The cars already comes tuned from factory so it does not need any more. I think that is what the original poster was asking about....if the car from factory needed tuning.
