metallic whirring/vibration sound?

metallic whirring/vibration sound?
Does anybody else hear a similar sound? It is VERY faint and is hardly audible.. but it is definately there. Usually when i'm in gear and i lift my foot off the gas while still in gear.. i cant describe it.. it sounds like a very faint metallic whirring.. i guess i would describe it as *whirr* *whirrrr* 
Any ideas?
