HELP!! 80mph+ car is shaking.....!!!

If it were a hub centric ring problem, you'd have the wobbling all throughout the speed. If it's only as high as 80mph and above, i can guarentee it's wheel balancing.

Wheel balancing if its only at higher speeds like that. Doubtful its anything else if you can't feel it at lower speeds.

Hmm. i dont think this is entirely true.. On my MR2 it would only shake at speeds in excess of 70. And i knew for a fact it was due to the aftermarket wheels and no hubcentric rings.

Just speaking from my experience though.

being that it is sunday i will need to find a shop that can do it.... how much do the hubcentric rings run??? just in case i have to get some.... hope it is just wheel balancing....

I took my car to tire kingdom and they re balnced my wheels.... they were way off!!! thanks for all the insight everyone... jumped on the 10fwy doing about a buck twenty....no shaking or vibrating!!!!

rule of thumb if over 80mph shaking it's usually your front wheels that are out of balance. If it's lower speeds and not at higher speeds then it's your back wheels.

Also most wheel spacers under 15mm will cause shakes. Some of the 10mm ones are good.

Your wheels need to be Re-Balanced make sure they "High Speed" balance
