I just got my new wheels and tires...
19x8.5 & 9.5 HPD-10 w/ Hankook ventus 245/35/19 & 275/30/19
Lowered on 350z Tein H-techs.......
i got on the freeway for the 1st time with the new wheels and tires and i noticed that the car started shaking and the steering wheel was vibrating when i hit about 80-85.... i slowed down to about 70 and it was fine....i havent gotten an alignment yet, could that resolve the problem??? i was going to wait until i hit 300 miles but the shaking and vibrating is killing me!! please help!! thanks in advance!!!

Your running the same width tires in front and back and on 8.5 and 9.5? The shaking could be due to the alignment or the wheels need rebalancing. No don't wait for 300 miles, do it right now so you won't have to buy new tires next week.

My bad i edited my post.... i meant i have 275/30/19 on the rear.... so you think an alignment would fix it???

Make sure wheels/tires are balanced, and check to verify if the wheels you bought may require hubcentric rings, without it may cause the shaking/vibration.

when i bought the wheels they came mounted and balanced.... i am not sure if they need hubcentric rings... offset is +38 all around.... pretty basic set up... i hope it will be an easy fix.... thanks GXCLUSIV....

1.Hub centric rings?
2.Alignment?
The shop that mounted must have balanced, do you see wheel weights?

If it's only during a certain MPH, it's the balancing. They need to be re-done.

I'd have everything re-done to be sure. I mean you might as well while the wheels are off the car right? It would suck to get an alignment and realize the problem is still there due to a balance or something...if none of this fixes the problem, it could be a slight negative offset...

my guess will be hub centric rings.

First you need to verify thats the problem. If you dont know what the hub is bring it to the shop and ask them if you need hub rings. If you do, call the wheel manufactuer and they should be able to get you a set.

If it makes you feel any better I put my rims on friday and driving 80+ i get slight vibration over what I had with my stock rims. I think my problem is I have spacers on my front rims and even though they are hubcentric, spacers still tend to give minor vibrations... But hey look on the brigh side. 80 MPH is speeding and can get you in trouble. You shouldnt be going over 70 mph anyways, your car is just trying to protect you

All joking aside just get it checked out, unless you bent a rim already which is unlikely then a shop wil be able to resolve the issue.

Get an alginment. After a drop, the alignment goes out of spec and it can cause some vibrations and make the car unstable.
