Try the alignment. When I had my wheels put on, my steering wheel would vibrate a little at 60 mph+ ... I took it back to the dealer and they did the alignment and everthing was perfect from then on out.

Ok thanks I'll take it in...Should I go for a front wheel or 4 wheel alignment?

see but thats still so strange to me -- why would stock wheels ride perfectly and then just by swapping out and putting on new rims/tires, how can that cause my alignment to go out of whack?

Hey Quick questions - Since both my offsets are +20 mm for Front and Back could that be causing the vibration?

I'm running 245/40/18 on 18x8.5 fronts with +20mm offset
and 275/40/18 on 18x9.5 rears with +20mm offset

Would they need to be different offsets since they are wider in the back?

Hunter machines are only as good as the operator. And if they abuse it and not calibrate it, its doing more harm than good. if your Rim runout out checked ok, and the tires are not throwing out of round messages, then you can get it balanced on any machine. I had a similar issue. The tires/wheels were fine on the hunter, bad on the car. We knew that the rims/tires were fine, I saw the measurements. (and most tire guys can eyeball this stuff and tell you). So, I said what the hell, drop it on the regular balancer. Sure enough, it needed some weight moved and removed. I assumed the old school balancer was wrong but when I drove the car, it was perfect. I asked the shop what the deal was and they admitted improper training and lack of frequent calibration may have been to blame. Basically he said that few people come in asking for the Hunter balance, so the whole process and the machine gets neglected. I got a HUGE discount on the whole ordeal. Just a thought.

so, if you've got the balance good, hubrings installed... I would jack the corner, grab the wheel on the car and see if there is play. You could have a wheel bearing issue. They have been going out on Gs. And an offset change would cause a failing bearing to hasten its demise..

Correct size hubrings?

I would maybe take it to a different tire shop and have them break the bead and using some lubricant along the top and bottom tire edges, see if they can spin the tire on the wheel maybe a quarter turn. Get them to air it up, rebalance it and go from there. Just an idea...

As mentioned earlier, if the mounting machine is not calibrated correctly by the operator, its going to come out improperly balanced.
