03 G35 AT VS. 03 G35 MT Coupes

I raced a G35 MT coupe with fugi exhaust and injen intake he had his vdc off (he didn't pull his fuse), at 3 different lights and all 3 times I beat him by a car length

He shifted perfect all 3 times, he even chirped 2nd, but I would jump by half a car, and then pull by another half....

My mods:
2003 AT Coupe
Injen intake, and no VDC fuse...

Does the VDC really make that much of a difference?

my350z forum is better....seems like the same 3 dullards do a search for the word "race" and then spew their unwanted lectures....the same type of people who vote for Ralph

people on here are lame.. he posted asking a specific question.. no one asked for lectures or your opinions on street racing.. give him the benefit of the doubt that the street was safe and empty.. this is why i post and check up on altimas.net racing section. i never owned an altima but people there get straight to the point and only flame those who traffic race which i also think is stupid.

anyways, i doubt taking out the vdc chip made a big difference.. otherwise that would be the number 1 mod right now there was prob something wrong with his car. i take automatics with equal mods no problem

Most probably a driver's race in that situation if its same mods. I know some people who drive AT and pulled on MTs. But not all of them did shift well, still it comes out to a drivers race if mods are equal.

VDC does make a difference when you launch with an AT, just leave it in MM mode and hold your foot down with the brake and at the same time floor it, let the brake go when your off, w/o VDC its pretty hard to do that

How do I know if a 6mt is perfectly shifting? I keep up with a turboed accord thats in my team that runs 14.0-14.1's all day long... I think VDC makes a huge difference...
