BTW, the gentlemen that I raced was in his late 30's and wanted to open up a little. So he asked me to run him, I figured sure why not... Cry me a river to all that cried, go buy a f ucking minivan ...

It was a dead stop, and would just take off on him *brake torque 2500 rpms* by half a car, then by another half and just stay ahead...

Sad to say, but true . . . However, that's why I purchased a '98 C4, 6 years ago, when I turned 40.

That was probably the rudest thing I have ever said... I honestly would like to take that back. Sorry guys, i have a lot of respect for older people. I understand that street racing is wrong, and i shouldn't condone it. But when I would have to drive 3-4 hours away to get 3 lousy runs at a domestic owned track and pay 30 bucks, will never happen.

Again sorry gentlemen, i didn't mean to offend you.

You said chirped 2nd and 3rd and peeled out on the launch? I have been driving my 6MT for a while and still suck...but isn't peeling out and chirping the tires a negative? You are losing traction which means losing acceleration.

Also if he had VDC on, when you lose traction and chirp 2nd/3rd it kicks in on my '03 and really kills your acceleration. I find it best to not peel out, chirp or to have the VDC off so that if you chirp it doesn't kick in and brake the rear wheels. I think VDC can turn a 14.1 run into a 14.5 run if you can't drive your car.

Oh well.

Yes i might be better than an average driver in US (not on this forum) but you dont need to be professional stick driver to win an auto G35.
Maybe they weren't racing or didn't know how to drive. That's the same answer I getn when I tell people that I've beaten sticks. Of course you'll beat the sedan the auto tranny is not even programmed the same as the coupe until the 05 year and in 03/04 it didn't have a true MM mode. TAt the track the difference is always marginal and oftentimes in favor of the AT- especially in the 60 foot times

BY the way not long time ago i raced a 2005 G Sedan till 60 or so, him brake Torquing at 2500 rpm me playing with clutch about 3500 rpm, i know some of will say thats too much but i found out that that is the best rpm to play with the clutch, I was ahead about 1/2 carlength. We did 3 times same exact result.
