Talking Xenon repacement Wow!!!

A xenon headlight (low beam)started flickering on me & went out last week, I have a 2003 6MT Coupe with 55,000 Mi on it. I was advised to take it back to the dealer. So I did on Saturday morning, prepared to pay a couple hundred dollars, for a replacement. To my astonishment, they told me that Xenon headlights have a lifetime guarantee. Has anyone else found this to be true ? I'm looking in my warranty to find this with no luck, I would like to see it in writng, because they told me that Xenon lights last to about 60,000 mi.
So my other one will be going fairly soon. They also said it was a $300 job.
Sometime we have to win.

A bulbs life aren't based on mileage but hours of operation.. generally HID bulbs last an average of 3000 hours whereas a typical halogen bulb lasts 750 hours.. but its hard to really tell how long a bulb would last due to conditions such as moisture and oil, etc.. so unless you have your headlights on ALL the time, day and night, than it should last the lifetime of the car

why dont you just go online and buy another set hid bulb and install it yourself ? philips 6000k are around 230 non-brand are around 100 and even the non-brand one will last you a while just dont get those with tint glass.

Why do you want to see it in writing? I haven't heard about this, but I wouldn't argue with them. Regardless, I wouldn't pay $300 for stock hids, when aftermarket 5K-6k hids cost less for two bulbs.

I personally don't trust Ebay brand bulbs... I would opt for Phillips 6000k But if it's free at the dealer, why the hell not just take it to the dealer and get a free stock replacement? It's a good thing to hear... if my light goes out, I'm definitely taking mine to the dealer

yes-yes I know hours not milage, why would I want to pay $230.00 for bulbs when the dealer will do it for nothing ? have to take wheel off & inner fender to replace. want to see it in writing to make sure its a "lifetime" guarantee.
