Wow. I finally got my VIN # today from the stealer..., er, dealership! They said July 18th!!??? Really, I said....July 18th??? Seems like a long time from Japan. Whatever happened to 2 weeks from VIN #? Oh well, the ships on the horizon. Now I can start through my money towards mods.

Congrats... I received my VIN exactly 2 weeks ago and still, no car i'm contemplating whether or not to get it now... just really annoyed. WAITING SUCKS!!! now, i'm thinking of the BMW 330ci.... since i am an old bimmer owner, e36 to be exact

It depends on where you live.

It only takes two weeks to ship to the west coast, but 30 days to the east coast.

West coast - two weeks from VIN to delivery.
East coast - 30 days VIN to delivery.

Dude if you made it this long and you already have your VIN I would hold out. The G is friggin NutZ and I'm sure if you've been on this forum long you know that the G v. BMW topic has been beaten to death. Trust me when you get your G you'll forget all about the wait and even better all about the letters B M W. Plus I know a girl that was looking at the G and decided not to get it cause I was getting one and she didn't want to get the same car. Now I have my G and she has her BMW and she still wants the G! I'd wait is all Im sayin.

 

I've got a VIN on my Q order now, and was told by the dealer an ETA of 7/1, but he said they just show up sooner sometimes with no notice. Regardless, my car is built and on a ship somewhere over the Pacific as I write this. Hopefully the ship won't sink and I'll get my car on time!

Well I have joined the group, just got my VIN and my dealer told me the car is at LA Port so it should be at his dealership sometime between now and the end of next week. My original ETA was June 28, but the dealer has been receiving cars two weeks ahead of schedule.

As I get closer, I am going more insane.!!!

I just spoke to my $tealer and i found out that the dealership screwed up my order. i ordered a 6mt, but it happens that the VIN they gave me was in fact NOT a 6mt. instead it was an auto. now, my estimated date of arrival is mid-July rather than this week! it's a Q order and and at least i got the correct VIN. *CRY* my dealer said he would make it up to me with a BIG surprise... wonder what he has in mind....

Have you guys negotiated a price yet? Or did you just throw down the deposit and the negotiations take place once the car is on the lot?

 

I ordered mine in Feb and got a Q order for the April dealer's orders. I put down the deposit, the saleman wrote down the MSRP numbers, but we haven't negotiated the price.

I will wait until the car is on the lot before I settle on a price. Most likely it will still be MSRP.
