I am thinking about getting a car in like 6-8 months. I was wondering if you guys think I should get a 06 6mt brand new for close to 40k, or find a used c6 with very low miles for around 40k??

Can anyone give me reasons to why for each car? Thanks

I've got a G35 and a buddy at work got a C6 at the same time. I love his car. Fast. Beautiful. Still rare.

My G is perhaps better looking (opinion), but is no where near as fast. Both cars handle great.

The stats show that the G will hold its value a bit better (until a new body style comes out, I suppose.)

For the same money I'd get a C6. But I think if you are considering a used C6, perhaps you should consider a used G35 for $28-30K. Take yourself on a nice vacation for the difference.

Well thing is, the reason I want a g35 is because it will be a NEW car, and I can afford a new g35. I cannot however afford a new c6 that is why I am considering trying to get a used one at the end of the year when the 2006 models come out, and the new z06.

As much as I like the 'Vette, I'd have to say the new G35 Coupe 6M/T.
It's a nice ride too, more user friendly, and cheaper to insure. JMHO.

I would even consider a used 2004 z06 if the price was right also.

Another car that has caught my eye is the new lexus is350. I dont know how much those are gonna run tho.

its a tough call...
i would side with the G... mainly because I am skeptical on buying domestic cars.
If you are going to keep your car for a few years... i stick with the G.

yea this is a car I expect to atleast keep for 5+ years.

I want the most reliable one also, the one that feels most comfortable to sit in, the one with the best interior, you know all that stuff.

I been hearing alot of problems with people and their 6mt's like their clutch makes noise, and all this stuff. I just dont wanna make a mistake. Another thing I hear is the sound system sucks in the g35. Is this true?

Depends if this car will be your daily driver? If it's a weekend/track car, it's a no brainer. If it's more of a daily driver, I would swing towards the G35c. Location might play a role too. If you're in a snowy state, you'll won't be driving the C6 much in the winter. A G35 is probably more drivable with winter tires.

C6 all the way. The C6 is the only Corvette I have ever liked.
