This has also been my experience. I've had more than one occasion where I was told that they didn't make much money on me, because they had to take more time on my car than they planned.

i walk in tell em what has to be installed and the guy did not give me an estimate, he said i could just pay when i pick my car up. i go there afterschool, the oil change was free and the guy hands my dad a bill : 331.00!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! he said the install for the splash guards (OEM ones) took 1.5 hours! and the install for the intake was 2 hours. what bulls hit! i wanted to argue, but the guy was being a total jerk, i didnt want him yelling down my throat or anything. Thats more than what they cost!
if there were any decent shops around my fuc kin town i wouldve gone there and saved like 200 dollars

im so pissed
I think it's kinda funny. You can chalk this one up to Life Experience.

To answer your question, no I have not had any aftermarket parts installed at Lokey Infiniti. But I do know that they have a performance division which deals with Volk, HKS, Injen, Tein, Crawford, RacingHart, etc. The only dealership I have heard that does this is Lokey Infiniti...and that is the dealership I use O yes...they will install the parts for you. They have installed a vortech kit or two. They also are a huge sponsor of the Florida G35 Club. O...how I heart Lokey Infiniti.

You asked for it by not getting an estimate. It is just like computers they will charge 2 hours for something that takes 5 minutes. I am sure they also took into account that "daddy" was paying for everything so they saw you as an easy mark. Time to get a job and whip out your own credit card.

Wow, that sux man. Like everyone else said, why not try it yourself.

They both come with instructions, and they aren't very difficult to install. I did both of them myself.

Hope you learned a lesson with this.

HA i got a job, and im not old enough to have a credit card

you guys are right, an estimate would have been nice.

i know i would have trouble installing the intake, and what if i do something wrong? and i mess up the car? who's going to pay for that

IS300 just about all the things you assumed are true... but i cant picture myself taking apart everything, im bound to make a mistake
