I keep hearing about a different (not as nice???) center console on the coupes. Something put in the earlier ones??? Anyone know what the differences are? Pictures of this would be good.

I thought the Auto and Manual version of the car had different center consoles?

 

This might be worthy of the FAQ.

For the 2003 Coupes:

All 6MTs and the 5ATs with the Performance Wheel Package have "Titanium" trim center consoles.

All 5ATs that do not get the Performance Wheel Package get Graphite or Willow center consoles depending upon their interior.

It is decidedly up to the driver which one is inferior. Personally, you couldn't pay me enough to put the Titanium trim over my nice Graphite trim. I think its the single worst piece in the entire car.

I took these pics last weekend. I have a 5AT DG Coupe with just the Prem Pkg. There are a few interior shots. I like the DG interior more than the titanium. Also I've seen posts where the titanium dents and/or scratches real easily. The only titanium with the DG interior is on the shifter. Enjoy.

I love the titanium... IMO the willow looks kinda tacky and seems kinda old fashioned, the titanium has a more sporty 'look'...

Titanium is pretty sensative though, but it all depends on who can take care of there car... Not one scratch yet on mine...

Oh yea and it's easier to clean...lol

 

starter: thanks for the pictures. that looks nice. Seems like its exactly the same, just the color matches the interior on yours.

 

You also realise the Center console structure itself for the 6MT - vs- 5AT is completely different...

The Center Console for the 6MT has been changed. The original console came from the 350Z, and in my opinion is awful. It's cheap, lacks an armrest, and has a mark where the hazard switch goes in the 350Z. A new design came along with the introduction of the 6 Speed on the sedan, it's shorter, has an arm rest, and fits the car. It's a much better deal, and goes with the car, as the console on the 5AT always did. What I would like to know is, has anyone updated their console?
