Has anybody put rear tint on a 05' coupe? and have any guys had trouble putting tint on the rear window torwards the top where those tiny little dot matrix are? is there a speacial tint or maybe its the way the installer puts it on? any help? thanks guys!

 

I'm curious too... I've got the little air bubbles at the top of the dot matrix as well... I was going to go back to the place where I got it tinted to have him redo it but I don't know if there is anything he could do...

 

I tinted mine and it doesn't stick in some areas. I plan on just vinyling the top part.

I want my window tint before summer. I am concerned how the dot matrix would come out. I've seen installs that left out the dot matrix altogether which didn't look finished to me. Please elaborate. Thanks.

u mean the tint over the top area of the rear window where the dot matrixs are right? it wasnt done by me it was by the place i got it tinted at.. they used a different solution around the dot matrix

 

[B] Vinal inside or outside, to me looks chessey on a $40k car, is there someway to rub them off or what did klumzyee use? i know i am onto something good. i had this freakin problem with my honda....why do they put those dam dots on there? they suck! and if anyone put clearbra on a pearl please let me know which they think is best? 3m or invinca or something else?

 

actually it doesn't look Cheesy, the Tint doesnt stay on the dot matrix, therefore you need something, Vinyl sticks better .. and if ur car is tinted .. it really doesn't look that bad. I'm getting Vinyl on my dot matrix sometime soon.. i'll post pics as soon as i get it done.

 

Is it possible to lay the vinyl on the dot matrix yourself? I don't want to have to go back to the tint place and have them charge me a ridiculous amount for something seemingly simple. Where would you buy this vinyl strip anyhow? Thanks.
