I use Castrol Syntec, Mobil 1 is good, and I'm considering using Motul.
Biggest part of the job on the g's is removing the underside engine cover.
Don't lose any of the screws.

actually you can do it without removing the whole cover if u can stick ur hand in there.. the big square hole is actually big enough to let the oil from the filter go through

don't want to get flamed but here goes...

I'm a big DIY'er. I do everything on my car that I can. On my old BMW I was changing out suspensions, engine work, etc, by myself. Anyway, I was at the dealer last week and they told me an oil change with filter and oil was 53 bucks, and that's for Mobile 1 full syn. Now I don't know about you guys but 5 or 6 quarts of mobile one costs about 30 bucks, another 10 for the filter and about 10 more for labor. In my book it's worth it. I get a loaner for the day,and all the records are on file with the dealer so if I ever need warranty work in the future, it makes life easier. I would just check with your dealer, if it's about 50 bucks I would recommend having them do it for you. Don't worry we wont think any less of you if you don't do your own oil changes
