Being a "recovering" perfectionist and a bit ****, here is the basic criteria I try to use when trying to park:
1st choice, end parking stall
2nd choice, if a parked car has an open stall on both sides of it, I'll park on the passenger side of the parked car, since there is a 100% chance the driver door will be used vs a lesser chance of there being a passenger.
3rd choice, park next to a 4 door vs a 2 door car as the 4 door has shorter doors, meaning more space between our cars when the doors open.

I've got few more quircky ideas but I think these are the basics.

Someone liked your car and skeeted on it, its happened to us all im sure
