From what I hear some tint places that have done the G before knows the secrets to the dot matrix sealing.. and some dont. When I got mine done the guy said the matrix would be totally even and uniform when its dry. After about 3 months only 50% of the rear is even and uniform around the dot matrix bumps. Same as the rear quarter windows. I have no idea on how to fix this, but Im getting mine done again.

I'd say go with the vinyl. I can't see it while I'm driving, and you can't tell from the outside unless you are specifically looking for it. And even then, you may only see the seam between the vinyl and the tint. Tint materials have a hard time adhering to the texure created by these dots.

I have vinyl on that part of my rear window. You dont really notice it all all and you dont get the bubbling that comes from tinting over it. The tint place only charged me like $15 to do it
