Just curious.... I cannot find my owners manual and I am wondering what the REV light in my gage cluster does? What purpose does it serve?

 

it surely is in the owners manual. it allows you to set when the light goes on so you will know when to shift if you need a prompt. you can set it where you want look at the manual for instructions.

 

It is not in all the owners manuals. Not sure if it is not in all the 05 coupes or just not in some of them. Just play with the trip odometer and you will figure it out. They usually come preset at around 4,000 RPM, presumably because of the break in guidelines. Day 2 I just reset mine to redline to get that PITA visual out of my vision

 

Do a search, there will be 10,000 posts on exactly what it does, how to set it and more. And default comes at MAX 8,000, not 4,000rpm. Only if your dealer set it for you for break-in, then it will be something OTHER than the 8k default. Secondly, he said he CANT FIND THE MANUAL, not cant find IT in the manual...

 

Do I have it in my 2004 Coupe?

 

Just be careful, when that light comes on, it means the flux capacitor has been activated.........
