i had to pay to take my moldings off. just keep them off and make it look clean. if you park in the city just be careful where you park and no car will have the same height for the moldings to really be effective all the time

 

They came with my car when I bought them.. I took themn off about a year later. No dings with or w/o them. Knock on wood.
