import tuner is pretty bad IMO.
I subscribe to SCC though.. i think its one of the best with a lot of technical and informative articles.
Or you might be more of the Car&Driver/Motortrend type guy who's less into the nitty gritty of cars and just likes to read about how they perform or how they look/feel inside.

i just ended my subs to import tuner and super street after five years, and imo they're going downhill, they used to be so awesome. i read every single tuner mag there is every month, scc and turbo are good for information. drag sport has cute featured girls, but that's bout it. the best mags imo right now are performance auto sound and modified. i can get you a good deal on PAS, PM me if you want a discount!

motor trend and C&D..for ur normal new car updates and whatnot. they are very good for like 12 dollars a year (i think if u sub more then one year, they give u more discount. mine was like 7 bucks a year..lol...cheap).
for mod car mags.. superstreet, SCC, and Modified are very good. Modified is pretty new, a lil more expensive but the quality of the paper and pix are awsome. hot chix too only down side to SCC is that there is no girls ..haha. all bout cars basically, but very informative.
goodluck man!

I never got into the tuner car mags all that much
but over the years i've subscribed to motor trend, car and driver, road and track, and automobile at various times.
Personally i prefer Automobile.
But then again, i will be keeping my car mostly stock. If you plan to do a lot of modding you may not enjoy the above mags as much.

I like SCC...they have a nice mix of the "ricer" stuff (which i like heh heh) and the technical stuff, and they seem to be pretty unbiased in there reviews. More of a "mature" apporach to the Mod-Crazyiness... Ive been a subscriber for 4 or 5 years now and i still look forward to each issue like its christmas morning!! hahaha...
Others that i buy from time to time...
- SuperStreet
- Modified Mag
- Import Tuner
- Dupont Registry
- Robb Report
