Post Now I'm Pissed * 2nd Window Motor

Guys/Gals It's F*cking raining outside, I am at work and have to drive my car across town to the dealership because this is the second time the window motor has burned out! This time it's the driver side.

The car is 1yr 8 months now, and my passenger side went out this past December.

The first time was the damn dead of winter and I had to drive for 20 minutes in this ice cube with the heat on full blast.

My service rep is cool and I don't think I will have any problems with getting the issue fixed...but this is just frustrating!

I was supposed to drive to NY this weekend and all I can think about is I'm glad this happened at home instead of on a road trip, so for that I'm thankful!

think youre pissed now? Wait til we are out of warranty. These motors are supposed to be revised. If they arent, its not gonna be cheap.

I had/have the same problem. I still need to get the passenger side fixed. I'm just hoping that the new replacements don't have this problem. I was on my to a nice lttle vaction when the pasenger side stuck down. My wife was so pissed. It was a Saturday morning so we just went by the dealer. One of the tech's came out and pounded on my door till it went back up. Then I just lock the window from rolling down and away we went.

Bassholic, I'm not the only one brother! Check this thread out in a day or two. I'm pretty sure others will share their experiences!

I had my driver and my passenger window motor replaced, and now the
driver side is starting to act up again. My car is not even two years old.
VERY FRUSTRATING. I guess its back to the dealer soon.

I also had the same issue about 2 weeks ago, luckily my window went up before the rain started. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. I hope it doesnt happen again

If you have the problem with one, I would have the dealer replace the other before you reach the end of the warrantee. My driver side intermittently had this problem, so they shouldn’t question if it works when you get there. Just tell them it’s an intermittent problem.

I feel your pain.

The passenger side motor went out in my coupe a month ago. Unfortunately, the nearest dealership it 200+ miles away.

I've got to take a day off work and drive across the state to get it fixed.

I'll almost be happy when the warrantee expires because then I'll just get it fixed locally !

just a tip if it does get stuck down again push the window switch up and tap the door by the interior door lock....it should roll up I did it for a week and worked every time

i don't think so, i've had the window motors replaced so many times i've lost count. Anyone know what this repair costs if not under warranty? i have a feeling it is expensive.
