Where can I purchase 04 G35 Coupe OEM Muffler?

Well, It finally happened. Some punk kid was driving a newer corvette and decided he was going to rear end my automobile for some reason. I'm not sure if he was being typical teen careless, or did this on purpose. Regardless the young man kept looking at me in the right lane as he was nearly merging into me, I got on the gas and gave him ample room. Needless to say my muffler was damaged pretty bad and the rear bumper of the vehicle is missing paint in several places. I would prefer not to purchase the muffler through the dealership, I'm pretty sure we could purchase it some where else. Where? I do not know. Thats why I'm here today. The insurance will probably cover a bit more then is necessary how ever I'd just like an OEM replacement of my 2004 G35 coupe muffler. If anybody has any know how on where I might be able to order this part online I'd be happy to hear from you. I am not the most internet litterate adult out there so navigating is easiest for me if someone could post a "link" for me. Thanks for looking hopefully someone can help me out. If you or someone you know has the OEM muffler for sale we can work out a deal.

Regards, Brett R.

Since it is HIS fault I would get an aftermarket system. Get a qoute from the dealer for the exhaust parts that you will need. I am sure that you will need new mounting equipment as well. OEM pricing will be super high and I bet if you throw a few cnotes in you can have a better performing exhaust.

Sorry to hear of the mishap.
I'm sure someone here who's installed an aftermarket exhaust can help.
G/L with repairs.

Hey no worries my friends, I will get this all straightened out. I waited a long time to purchase my car with low miles on it and I figured something would go wrong. I was near the Jersey shore on a saturday night! I guess next time I'll take one of my other cars there which I don't treasure like the G35. You know before I had this coupe the other cars i previously drove didn't seem to matter to me. All the sudden I appreciate something I bought and I realize how expensive OEM parts can be like a fellow up there said.

Someone suggested aftermarket exhaust? Well My only gripe about that is sacraficing that stock muffler sound. I am not sure if it's the entire exhaust, (or just the muffler) which makes that deep growling sound, but it really makes me feel like I'm in charge of the show while I'm behind the wheel. Thats my main reason for wanting to purchase the OEM muffler.. I just don't want to alter the sound of the exaust to be any other tone or volume.

(I belive the hangers were indeed bent too. My friends got a nice big garage and lots of tools from the job, he is a body man. He says he will be helping me through the process of repair)

Thanks for suggesting the member named Kragen. I will try to contact this person, maybe they can help me out.

I appreciate all the replies and you're all most helpful!~ Brett R.
