Angry window motor busted, 61K miles

as i've read this is a fairly common problem, unfortunately for me i've got 61,600 miles on the clock. the window only gets jammed in the heat and humidity. now with me being out of warranty, anything you guys think of that can get me out of paying for this!?? i dont have the money for it right now and with all the similar problems i think it should be a defect and fixed whenever...also, anyone know how much this might run me if i pick up the cost?
thx in advance

Its around $300 per window. Both of my windows busted within 15,000 miles of owning the car.
In my invoice it stated around 300 dollars parts/labor. I had some other stuff done too so that might affect the price. So maybe it was around 2 something. Hope that helps you.

Is the motor broken? If it is only happens in heat and humidity, maybe it is the material that seals the edges where the window comes up. Maybe they are frayed or dirty or out of place and expand with the wetness and heat. That might be something you can fix. If the motor is broken, that's another story, I think.

Good luck.

Talk to the dealer. If you've had all the service done and the car has been maintained properly, he may help you.

The labor would not be hard. I've removed the door panels and the motor is easy to get to. You could do it in 1.5 hours.
