WTF!!! Does anybody have a squeaky clutch pedal? I brought it to the dealer and sprayed some lube on it but could not fix the squeak... This is embarrassing when you have a chick in the car... every time you press on the clutch pedal and depress it squeaks. HELP!!!

 

U sure it's the pedal? There is a weird whistle like squeel sound (fairly soft) that occurs when taking away engine power at 3000-3700 RPM. To replicate, get it in gear, go fast enough to be 3300 rpm, take foot of gas. Listen.

Same sound? If so - not the pedal then.

Its down near the tranny. My car does this also. My OLD civic did the same.

 

my car did the same thing, took it in and they said it was normal. According the service tech, the 6mt are very loud.

mine doesn't squeek.

 

mine doesn't squeek, but it is pretty loud. Depressing clutch between 3k and 4k rpms leaves a howling noise, sounds like something that was spinning and is slowing down, lasts for about 1 second after i depress clutch.

 

ya the O5's do that, i hate that sound

 

My 05 does that, i took to the dealer, they told me its normal i wanted a new car, 03-04 dont do that i believe

 

That sound is making me nuts. What is it anyhow? Dealer service advisor said it had something to do with a two position clutch. Sounds fishy. Anyone have any hard notes on what it is?

I have an 03 and my clutch squeaks like a bitch, it also just started to make some kind of thump before hitting 2 rpm when in 1st gear.

 

My 03 squeaks bad - it is embarassing when stopped at a light.

I also have a clicking noise from the rear that is driving me crazy. I asked them to tighten the rear axle bolt but that didn't work.
