Somebody Is Trying To Scam Me In Buying My Car

HERE IS THE EMAILED THAT HE REPLIED TO ME,

I have forwarded your vehicle information to my client and after evaluation and due to time constraint on the fact that we are runningshort of time.
I'm delighted to tell you that my client has recommended your vehicle, with full interest and he has instructed me to carry on with his transaction.
Hope the engine and body is in perfect condition?
He also instructed me to inform you that payment will get to you in a cashier check of $45,100, which is a refund payment of a cancelled order earlier made by my client.
Due to company policy this check has to be made out in this amount to you, Because company policy only allows a refund payment on one cashier check.
So you are required to deduct the cost of your vehicle $36,400 when payment gets to you and refund balance $8,700 to the Agent (our shipper) for him to be able to offset shipping & tax charges, and other cosmetic repair costs.
We really need your Truth & Honesty in refunding the balance to the shipper.
After payment has reached you and balance sent to shipper, the shipper's agent will come for inspection, pick up (of vehicle & signing of title papers), make some cosmetic touches and drive to a prepaid shipper to be shipped to my customer.
Please confirm this and forward the following informations;
Names:.........
Address:.............
Phone number:............
For payment to be made and send to you as soon as possible.
Your honesty, understanding and co-operation will be highly appreciated.
Have a wonderful day.

PHILIP.

These dumb A$$' turly amaze me! If you are selling a car and have not heard about this stupid scam, you almost deserve to get screwed. I had the exact same situation with an email just like that.

I responded to them by saying, "no problem"! I will release the car and the refund to you 2 weeks after I personally have my bank manger process your check/cashiers check and the funds are dispursed to me in cash form. Thanks..................NEVER heard from them again!

there's also one i keep receiving not in regards to a car but for a job. i kept receiving a letter about this company trying to get me a job and they just needed my permission to submit my resume but required the following:

name
address
phone
signature
SSN (i believe)

the funny thing was they already had all the information (minus the phone/signature/SSN) and there was never a return address on the envelope AND the envelope they wanted me to return all this information to was a PO Box. I wanted to F around and send some anthrax back in the package but decided against that.

lol @ "pic of middle finger"

I'd distance yourself from this deal ASAP. You'd think this scam has seen so much press recently that know one would still be trying to run it.

This is a very common scam these days, and usually started from offshore.
I too have had letters and notices like this.
Be aware of it, and stay away.

I agree!! Report the F**ker. These scams are getting out of hand and tons of unsuspecting people are getting ripped off. I would never hand over keys or posession of anything till that money was in my bank account.

It's sad, but you just can't trust people these days.

Good Luck and Have Fun with it! Better yet, forget snail mailing him pic of your middle finger, just email it.

I got an email saying I'd get 8 million dollars for letting these two rich foreign girls live with me in the USA. To escape their horrible country or somin. Asked for my address and bank account number. Haha.
