Not to offend anyone about the Z06 to Civic comment but yes I do understand it's definately NOT a Z06. I'm just comparing 1/4 mi speed wise it's possible.

But people need to understand that there are different types of ways of fixing up an import car. If you place an Integ. Type-R engine in a Civic no bodykit and clean rims, is that ricing it out? Or if someone decides to put the Stillen Front Lip spoiler on a G35, is that ricing it out? Some people have the impression that anything done to a Japanese Import car is ricing it out.

Where I live there are different types of ways we car fix up a car. Not what some people call ricing it.

Fast and the Furious really ruins the import scene in my opinion. More like Fake and the Ridiculous with all the super candy color, useless wings, neon lights, I can go on and on. Now that is US Rice...

IMO that movie has made a big impact in the import scene in good ways and bad. Since the first F&F movie came out PEP BOYS has moved aggressively into the import market and there has been a surge of new performance parts websites trying to get a piece of the action too. Toyota Supra’s resale value went through the roof as well as other imports, Speed Vision channel now has a show called “Rev Tuners” dedicated for the Imports, and the econo “pocket rocket” market has gotten a lot more competitive in recent years with the addition of new models such as the Neon SRT-4, WRX Sti, Mazdaspeed Protégé, EVO VIII, Focus SVT, Sentra SE-R SPEC-V just to name a few. It just could all be a big coincidence but I doubt it.

djcue: Whoa boy. I was just making an observation on the commercial and the way that Honda was marketing their cars to people to rice out like fast and the furious. No need to get your ***** in a knot. When I saw the commercial, I cracked a smile to the fact that Honda even made it.

I know that my G is not a Ferrari. I don't think that it puts ME in an elite category just like I don't think that the people that drive Civics are any lesser of human beings. I said nothing of the sort, so I don't know what your issue is. I do however like my G a lot just like a lot of other people here.
