I just bought a coupe and I'm ready to put some new wheels on. However; I wanted to do some research before I invest on some 20" wheels.

For those of you who have 20" rims on your coupe right now. What is the tire manufacturer & size you recommend for fronts and rears?

Also, what is the difference in performance and ride quality when you put these wheels on from your original wheels you had on?

I understand that I'll lose some ride quality when I go from 17'' to 20" but I just want to make sure there is no rubbing and the ride would still feel comfortable. Recommendations please!!!

I actually just went to F1 Motorsports to get some dubs priced for my ride, because I wanted to sell my OEM 05 19's (CHROME) w/tires. I priced out some Volk Racing Rims GTC 20x9.5 front and 10x10.5 rear both w/really nice fat chrome lips, staggered look; Nitto tires 245/30 front and 275/30 rear; Tein springs SKP30-AUB00 -1.2 drop front and -.9 drop rear; plus have the rims color matched (Athens Blue) w/chrome lip and chrome rivets. This whole package out the door close to $5K. Still have to think about though, hard on just a teacher's budget Hope this helps. You could actually go with 285/30 in the rear too. But I don't know if you like deep dish rims. I love the look. You lose a little speed w/bigger rims, but looks pimpish. I'm more into the nice, clean look now as opposed to speed, maybe because I'm getting older and my other ride (Acura Integra GS-R) was already suped up)

Nice bro! You need to post some pics! I love the deep dish clean look. I'm looking at the 20"maido Rt5-granite finish.
So , I understand you lost some speed with the bigger rims; but, how is the ride quality? Is it very ruff or do you still feel comfortable w/ the ride?

I noticed a difference between 18's and 19's. So you will notice a huge difference between 17's and 20's period.

The ride difference isn't too bad. I went from the stock 18's to 20's and I think it's great. I'm running 245/35/20 in front and 285/30/20 in the rear. I purchased the Michelin PS2's, their kinda pricey, but work fantastic.

Later,

Ray

I guess it all depends on where you live. I'm in the midwest where the roads suck period. 20's here would be asking for trouble. Most of the hi-ways around here have expansion cracks from ice heaves. Not to forget the potholes that seem to open up year round.

Check my sig for my wheels and tires....

I had 17" and went to 20". There is a difference in the ride but it isnt that big of a deal. I have no rubbing and the ride still feels great.
