My question is..how can you guys NOT testdrive a car thats gonna cost you nearly 40 grand to buy it? The car is beautiful, i understand that, but what if you got into it and your grandmother's geo handles better... just my .02

I test drove the BMW 330ci and the G35 coupe before I made my decision. As you all know, the G won.

I test drove before buying because I didnt know which version of the coupe I wanted. I was worried about the head room with a sunroof and I was concerned about the difference in the ride between the 18" wheels and 19" wheels with the sport-tuned package. Ended up with the sunroof and 19" wheels and have loved every minute of the first 1000 miles.

I was wondering the same thing. I test drove a ton of cars and G35s before I made a purchase. Might as well drive everything you want within reason before you make your purchase. What's the fun of buying the first thing you drove and have nothing to compare it to?

I test drove a G but not mine. The dealer had a G sedan strictly used to the test drives.

I test drove one with manual transmission and with both premium packages installed. Bought another one - without any packages. BTW, the one I bought was the only one in the whole Massachusetts!
Almost ll of the coupes come with preinstalled packages :-(

The lexus dealer actually wouldnt stop telling me how great the G35 was, so I went to Infiniti and bought it on an impulse.
How odd...That isn't a very good salesman. I mean, worked out for you, but that's so strange...

Hehehe . . . I was given the keys to a '05 6MT Coupe with 32 miles on it, after I signed a borrow agreement and I had the G for well over 3 hours.

Took it here, took it there, went downtown to pick-up my wife. Really got a decent feel for it. Needless to say, the odometer was in the 3 digit range when I finished my test drive.

Brought it back and purchased a '05 BS/Graph. 6MT Coupe the next day, which had 17 miles on it.
