dropping clutch with vlsd

I am not use to my car having a LSD. Today off the line I launched extremely hard, the RPMs hit pretty high probably in the 5-6k RPM range, I was trying to let the clutch out, but it just stuck. The car finally took off about 5 seconds too late as the lsd finally grabbed. I couldn't shift out of first gear as the clutch was stuck in. Now my question is, How much damage does this to the LSD (I know the clutch took its fair share of abuse from that), I think its happened 3 or 4 times now. Anyone with mechanical knowledge of the LSD, please throw me a bone.

thanks

.....definitely the clutch that's taking the beating.
Talk to the dealer about a fix.

a fix? The clutch should be able to handle a few scorchings right? Car drives fine, but just curious about the LSD because my last RWD car would spin the back tires if I launched the RPMs high enough. My FWD car would easily smoke the front tires or if I slipped the clutch I could get really good launch out of it. I thought the LSD was absorbing the wheel slip because I've never had this happen in any of my cars without LSD. Traction Control was off.

Is there a mechanical lock that prevents clutch dumps at high rpm?

Yeah, I wish it were on, at least I would have just been tearing up the brakes. But since I posted this thread, my car still smells like clutch when I am done driving it, even when I am not driving hard.

edit.. lets say ur rolling on 1st going to 2nd and u shif to 2nd but u drop it at 6k RPM.. it wont let u ._.

no its not a lock out feature.. the clutch just sucks ***! you either have to let it out really quick or else you will just burn it up and it wont goo.... 05's transmission sucks

I have the same problem with my car. Although you'd think this was supposed to HELP you, it actually burns the clutch, so I wonder why infiniti did it. Its a shame that the clutch just won't catch, so you can give the engine and car a good workout. I guess it doesn't matter much though, since you get better speeds dropping at 4500rpm anyway.

i know there's a clutch dampening device on the is300's that can be removed, is there something similar on the G35 possibly?
