I tried some quartz, but it made a lot of noise.

That's 'cause you didn't grind it down fine enough. Get it to the consistency of baby powder, mix it with a little Mobil 1 and just pour it in the engine... 15 HP easy! A little more in the gas tank and you're done!

I tried five quartz and while it caused a lot of grinding noise, the clock sure kept good time.

All joking aside, does our VQ take 5 quarts of oil to fill? I'm curious too, because the owner's manual that I have is missing the 'capacities' section. Thanks for the help everyone. Take care.
