got hit

It's a sad sad day.

Got bumped by one of my best friends.. he wasn't paying attention and I had seen that he wasn't coming so I was checking for other traffic.

So I'm going to take it in for an estimate but to keep my options open, anyone have a rear bumper they wanna sell? Would this be cheaper to do? Any suggestions? Throw me a price. I would prefer that it's already Desert Platinum...

I'll second that, but by the looks of it, its likely there will be creases. I'd suggest having him pay for a body shop to fix it properly. He did f*ck it up.

Seriously, pop it out yourself and just have the bodyshop repaint it. Cheaper!

perfect opportunity to get the Kenstyle rear or any other rear that you like. or just go full body kit while you're at it

That's a bit too much. The new bumper itself costs around $350, plus work $35/hour + paint... Total, can be done at $500.
If you fix it, that will be $300 cheaper.

Dent

I had a similar dent in my Maxima, and popped it out. Drove for few years with touch up and got a new bumper after somebody hit me and cracked the bumper. But then again this is a G and I might make the friend pay for the new bumper.

Hope your friend has insurance. You have a nice car and I wouldn't scrimp on the repair. If he's really a friend he'll cover it to be done right. If he tries to welch you have the law on your side. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

In the end, do what you're comfortable with. If you want to forgive your friend and take an easier route, it's up to you. If I did this to a friend's car it would be a no-brainer. If it were a stranger you'd demand it be fixed correctly, the only thing different with a friend is the tone and approach. IMO.

It will pop out ok. Then all you have to do is repaint. I'm sure your friend won't mind the repair costs.
