Service engine? I only have 1800 miles

Has this been a problem with the G? I just had the car for 2 months, now I have to take it in for service? I live about 40 minutes away from the nearest Inifiniti dealership.

So what could be the problem besides a not tightened gas cab? I know thats not the issue.

Will they give me a loaner car even I didn't purchase the car through this dealership?

Yeah, no problem. Just make an appointment. I didn't buy my G at the dealership I went to, and I always got loaners. You should invest in a code reader. I bought an Auto-Tap. My Service light turned on once. Turns out my Accelerator Position Sensor flipped out momentarily, and sent invalid values to the computer, which went into fail-safe mode, and turned on the idiot lights. I turned off the light myself, and I never saw the problem again. (knocking on wood).

Do an ECU reset (found in our DIY forum) to see if the light returns.
If it comes back then just go into any Infiniti for service and yes they should lend you a loaner (if available).

Exactly. Do the reset and see if the light comes back - it could just be a burp.

My idiot light came on two weeks ago and I have only 3K on the clock. The dealer told me my computer in the car needed a reboot

I thought my car was built by Infiniti, and not Microsoft.
