05 Automatic Shifter **** Problems

I have a 2005 5AT Coupe. Yesterday I installed the PAC AA-NIS. After the install, when I tried to replace the shifter ****, it won't engage the lever to allow the car to change from P-R-N-D. I'm unsure about what to do to get the AT **** to work. Everything seems to fit, but it won't work.

Blue piece? I'm guessing that's the problem. I'll bet it's underneath the silver trim. If not, do you have a part number that I could get from the dealer? Thanks.

I had the same problem, blue piece fell under the dash. Put everything back together and shift **** didnt work!!

No part number, If you cant find it you might have to order the entire shifter assembly. I suggest you start looking!!!!

You should be able to shift just by pressing that blue piece down - without any **** in place.

I didn't even realize that blue piece could come off so easily - I have taken that center piece off so many times (to program the PAC SWI-X and install the PAC AAI-NIS - which by the way for the person who asked, provides 2 AUX RCA inputs when pushing the SAT button on the HU)

You can still shift without the blue piece by pressing down on the metal stick, but the blue piece is what makes the shift **** work.

I couldnt find it at first and thought my shift **** was broken!! I even called the dealership to order another shift ****, they quoted me $180!!!

Luckly I figured it out before I bought one....

I called the dealership and the blue piece is $21. I've been pushing down the metal piece to shift. I'm sure that the blue piece is in my garage, under one of my seats or under the trim pieces.
