6MT w/Navi (Fuel Economy Info.)

Hello folks,

I wanted to know other opinions on how accurate the average gas consumption is from their Fuel Economy Info. on the Navi. I was kinda freaked out yesterday, from the Fuel Eco. Info. It stated I had 20 miles left then quickly drop down to *** in a matter of 3 miles. Yes the Gas Light was on and I was hitting 310 miles before I did the fill up again. The G is daily driven on local streets w/AC on 50% of the time. Can you guys clear this up for me whether I was in the safe even though Eco. Info. stated I was out of miles?

It's possible for the navi to fluctuate that much especially if the distance travelled is relatively short. The best accuracy will be realized over long distances. ie 100's of miles.
For what it's worth, when both my Sedan's and my Coupe's navis said ****,
I still travelled over 40 miles without emptying.
Likewise with the low fuel light.....when it comes on I still had about 4 gallons left in the tank.

Thanx for the reply.
Wow, 40 miles. Isn't that pushing it?

Would figure he could do 50 to 60 miles before starting to push it.
