I owned a Porsche Boxster S for 4 years without any rock chips.

I've owned a 99 Acoord with 200k miles and no chips on the paint at all. BOTTOM LINE, INFINITI PAINT SUCKS.

Paint technology is no longer like before. It is a universal problem, not just w/ Infiniti / Nissan. We see it day in day out w/ all makes and everyone's getting it if they're driving on the freeway and dont' make it a habit to stay far away from vehicle in front. However, this method may work, but as many of you from California already know......if you leave a lg gap in front of you, people will cut you off.....then you're getting something kicked up fairly close to you.

I've already had my car a week and used it on a long freeway trip. I'm afraid it's too late for the clear bra for me.

Talk to "Wil". The clear bra will definitely keep your paint from getting any worst.

Only way around the issue is Clear Bra. IMHO, our rides should come from the factory with them.

Curious, but did everyone already have a small piece of clear bra material in front of the rear wheels from factory? possibly port installed? When i saw that, i realized how important it would be to get it on the hood and front bumpers, as my car is going to live on the highway all summer long.

I wish they would have just did the front from factory and saved us the time and worry about rock chips before getting this done aftermarket. They could have done it for a minimal increase in overall cost to us. or at least have it as an upgrade package perhaps

i had it done for 400 for entire front bumper, good portion of hood, and behind mirrors. dealership wanted 300 for a 6inch strip on hood alone - what a rip

My first big road trip last weekend and I ended up getting blasted by wet sticky fresh tar from a jackass pickup truck swerving in front of me, so this stuff saved me already

I agree, just add $300 on to the sticker price. When you spend $35k to $40k, there shoould'nt be this paint issue.

That is a factory installed piece. Many new cars come with PPF in areas that are known for rock chips. That area on the G over time would have quite a few chips if it wasnt proctected.

i plan on getting a beater car to drive to and from work
rock chips are all over the front bumper and in places on the hood
places where a clear bra would've helped greatly

i remember park ave infiniti quoting me over $1000 on a clear bra that should only cost $500. what a rip off i must say

so if i got those two parts redone, do you think a clearbra would look perfect on it without any small bubbles from imperfections in the repainting and what not?
