i had the 5at coupe for a while and im as old as you are. i then traded it in for a 6mt and dont regret it at all. i feel more in control of the car and i think if you want a 6mt you should go for it. but make sure you are getting a deal bcuz like you said this is the second infinti you will be getting from the same place. Power to the young G drivers!

I said that becuz u sounded like an axx.

Besides GB said that his uncle didn't know he was driving manual for first time.

Perhaps why don't you shut up ? Ok?

How do you know people hate him ? Just your assumption ?

Why don't you leave people alone before they get pissed off at you ?

I got my G35 when I was 19 years old. year and half ago.

By the way, I think that my family is loaded enough cuz they bought me a

g35 by cash. But you know what ? I never mentioned this before on any

forum cuz I always feel that I'm deserving way more than I should. Life is

too short to be an *** MC2.

I agree.

Well, the thing is, first of all I want to thank all of you for your generous responses, even if they were harsh or aimed towards a nice mannor. I understand that many of you have varied opinions, and thats perfectly ok. Some of you think that its not cool for young kids to have nice cars, others would disagree. Well, thats life, other people have different things. There are other kids that have nicer things, while others may not have much. Its more so the idea that you have a car that gets you from point A to point B. I know this sounds kinda weird when im 18 and drive a G but its the truth. I never asked for my car, yeah I liked it and all but I wasnt all over my parents asking for it. Originally my father wanted me to get an m3, because he thought they were safer and a better car, since he had dealt with bmw many times before. I told him I would much rather have an Infiniti. Call me crazy but my dad had no idea what an infiniti was at the time. When I got the car it was nearly half the price of a fully loaded m3. My dad actually was really appreciative about this because he thought I wasnt going for the best, but I was going for what I wanted. In the end, he drove my car home when we first bought it, and he was astonished by how nice of a car it was. He was like "this infiniti is an awsome car, im happy you choose this." Thats why my parents are cool about getting me mods and stuff for the car, because they realized I coulda used them and got the best, but instead I told my parents just something to get me places would be good enough. And speaking of working, I started work at my fathers last week, and he wants me to start from the bootom. He told me that if I wanted to take over the business some day, I had to learn every job. Because when your in the real world, your not always the bosses son. So last week I started off by stocking grocery items and bagging groceries. Although im not getting the minimum wage that others get, im still working from the bottom. The reason why I wanted to get a 6mt also is because my father told me "Your not a real driver until you know how to drive stick." And now I feel like im ready for this "Challenge" and I wanna prove it to him that I know how to. Say what you want, you all have your own opinions and I cant change that, but I was only asking for an honest opinion not to be bashed. I think no matter what age we all are, or who got us our cars, no matter if it was ourselves from hard work, our parents or someone else, we are all still lucky to drive such a nice and beautiful car! Were all supposed to be family here cmon whats this site stand for!

All we need now is IS300TOG35 tell us how he pays for everything and acts so mature, then this would be a great repost of bull-****

Not at all! You sound like a kid with some sense. I just know that it I had a G when I was your age, I would have had a horrible accident or worse. I had some nice cars myself. I had a Fiat 850 rag top (817cc/49hp ) and a 1964 MGB while in Highschool. I flogged the crap out of both of them. If I had a car with the kind of power the G has, well you know... I just think that giving someone a High pref car when they have little or no experiance is just dumb. I can't tell you how many kids have been killed or maimed in HP cars around here.

Please note that I didn't say a word about HOW you got it. Just WHAT kind of car it was. Untill you have a few years of driving time under your belt, you don't need this kind of car.

Like I said above, you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. I was just thinking from my perspective as having been there. The temtation is strong and the flesh is weak. I wish you all the best.

GBousis, it is sad that you have to explain so much to this community just to get an answer to your ?s. But that's life. I grew up so darned poor that I would have loved to get a bicycle at 15 years old. Now I'm 32 and my car is one of 3 Nissans that I drive. Plus I build them. Be proud of all you've got. Work hard/smart for the rest. And it's funny to me how much more mature your posts seem than some of the "older" crowd. You remind me of someone I knew at that age. Get the car you want if opportunity affords it. If not, work to create the opportunity. Man, I'm beginning to sound philosophical again...

Just tell them you were thinking abt it for a long time and you really want to get a stick car. When they ask why, tell them that you want to have more control over the car, etc etc, basically the truth. If your old man says yes, then great. If he says no, ask if you earn the money to pay for the difference for the trade in.. he'll prolly say yes to that.

See what happens, can't hurt to ask. If you have the money to pay the difference, just do it, otherwise if you want the stick now, might as well ask.

Wish I could have afforded a g35 at your age, i'm 21. Even though I drove POS for a long time, if I have the money for my kids someday, they will be driving Ferrari's at the age of 16.

Why should i shutup? I sound like an *** because everybody is giving the kid a hard time for having a G35 when he's 15 and i'm just trying to help him out? So what if his uncle didn't know he was driving his goddamn car, if the guy was 47 years old and told this story nobody would say ****. You obviously completely missed the boat on this point so really, shutup.

I don't care what your family is these things mean nothing to me and thats great that you are rich and have lots of money to buy nice cars i'm sure everybody would like to live the same life you live. That's great you are deserving more than you should so does that mean everybody should be criticizing you for it? What do you think? Should we all give you **** because your parents bought your car for you when you're still growing pubic hairs? Don't ask me to leave people alone, i didn't start anything with anybody.. the only people that should be leaving anybody alone are the people giving the kid crap for having something nice when he's young. Yes life is too short to be an *** so please stop being it. I'm not sure what compelled you to get into this with me since you should be on GBouis side, but i guess i will never know.

You're a lucky guy to have such a great car at such a young age - I just got mine and I'm over 40 LOL. I don't hold it against you - sounds like you respect it and your folks - can't ask for more than that.
Yes, i agree.
