i'm about to buy a used y-pipe, what kinda of gaskets do i need. And is anyone here running a y-pipe with stock exhaust, if so any problems. thanks

 

It will work fine withe the stock exhaust. Just re-use the stock gaskets and go to a hardware store and buy some 3/8" washers (about 20 of them). Also get a Service Manual and find out the size and pitch of the bolts that connect the y-pipe to the headers (they're the same as the ones that connect the y-pipe to the mid-pipe) and buy 10 of those. Then buy 10 nuts, 10 lockwashers and you'll have all of the hardware you'll need.

Throw away all of the old stuff as it's been heat cycled way too many times to be any good. Odds are you'll snap a few bolts just taking your y-pipe off. (So will your buddie who removes the JIC...)
