About three weeks ago, I took my coupe to the dealership for its first service. Today, I was looking under my car and I discovered that my undercarriage was scraped and somewhat caved in starting from the front jacking points running to the back of the car. What I think happened was the hydraulic jack was not lowered completely before the car was moved. Let me tell you, I cannot put into words to describe how I feel about now. I am going in tomorrow morning to talk to the service manager to see what can be done...

This makes me happy that I have not taken mine back for anything, not a recall or oil change.
Let us know what the Service Manager says. hopefully he won't deny it and try and say that you did it driving over something. But i think he will, deny it that is.....

 

I know alll so well what you are talking about....When they replaced my clutch they took a whole week....Comeon the parts where there in a day ...

Well I talked to the service manager about the damage and he came out to look underneath the car. He specifically looked at the front jacking points and the area around it and he saw the damage. He said that his techs were usually very good at reporting damage and that he will have a little talk with his techs about the damage to my car. He also, said that they would repair the damage. He is going on holidays and will not return until the first week in July. He will take care of me then.

when they took apart my dash for teh cdplayer they broke somestuff and crazyglued it back together
id complain but then theyd want to know what i was doing in there

Humm, I would think a dealership would have the correct adapters on their jack to avoid damage like this. FWIW, go to the Eastwood Company (http://www.eastwoodco.com/) and check out their uni-body adapter for floor jack. It really is the only way to jack up the car without beating up the metal under the car.
