Thank god for the police

I was awoken around 3 this morning by the police... they caught some loser busting the window on my G! They tasered the bi*h!

Anyway, the reason I'm sharing is to let all know that this incident is proof the alarm sucks as*. I've seen it written on this forum before, but here's undeniable proof - blown-out window, idiot hanging halfway in the car jerking on the brake lock and NO ALARM sounding! I live in a quite neighborhood; the alarm would have woken me. It was a good thing the police happened to be driving by. If you don't already have an aftermarket alarm, I would really suggest getting one.

Great to hear the cops caught them in the act, one of the questions I wanted to know was how was the stock alarm but I guess you answered that for me

As far as I know, the stock alarm only sounds if the door is opened. There is no glass sensor or shock sensor.

Wow, sorry about the attempted jacking, but glad they caught him. Could you ask for anything more than him getting tasered?

All these stories worry me...I guess the G really does need a decent aftermarket alarm!

that is awesome that the b$tch got tasered...lol!!! but i don't think you can blame the stock alarm which does not have a shock/motion sensor. most new cars do not have that option included in the stock alarm.

now, if that was a 13-14 year old kid breaking into your car, would you disagree with the use of the taser?!?!?

Garaged also, but would definitely have an aftermarket alarm if outside.
Sorry for your bad luck.

you can install a shock sensor on your OEM alarm, bought mine for $20 and had a friend install it.

That’s awesome they got the guy; who knows what his goal was. The main security in the car is the chip in the Key. Then there are the door open sensors and the hood open sensor. You really can't steel the stereo and you can't hotwire the car, but people have gotten towed away. You really need a monitored shock sensor with a GPS location alarm installed to be 99% safe.

I dont care if its a 10 year old breaking in, you get tasered enough times you might actully think about being a decent human. I like Singapore - cane the bastards!

Can you set it off for passenger seat only? Maybe while driving?
