Stupid Clutch Question

Is the G35 clutch diffent then that of the 350Z ???? Reason I ask is I currently own a 350Z and am getting a G35 Coupe in the next month. But when I test drove the G35 Coupe the clutch seemed much softer. Is the pressure plate different? or something I personally like how my 350Z clutch feels more then the G.

05 Clutch is now "softer" to depress than 03 and 04 (which are similar to the sporty 350Z clutch feel).

I just traded an 03 350Z for an 05 G35 6MT and the clutch feels really different: it's much lighter, catches higher, and emits kinds of a strange growling sound when you shift at higher RPMs. The G35 as a dual-mass flywheel, something the Z does with out if I'm not mistaken which might explain some of the differences. You'll probably also notice that the shifting effort is reduced. It took me a while to get used to it, but I sure don't regret making the switch. The G35 is such a better car -- enjoy!!!!

Yes, the pressure plate on the '05 is different. I'm not quite positive if '03-04 Gs had the same clutch as the 350Z. I've only driven one stick Z and he had just had his clutch replaced, and it seemed a little stiffer than the 03/04 G, but it might have had to do with that particular car.
