Looks great man! Glad it worked out. Memphis, the iPod holder/belt clip just clips to the two hangers. *see pic below*

Not a problem, Ill post it here for others as well... The white mount you see attaching the brackets to the ipod comes with the ipod.. its the belt clip.. shown here without the ipod attached (it snaps in and out, i leave it like this when i leave the car somewhere and put the ipod in the glove box to prevent theft)

Now the belt clip attached to these 2 bent pieces of coat hanger.
What I did to make it very solid was take the hanger im pointing at in the pic and set it farther apart than the top one so it had to be pushed up inorder to lock the belt clip into place.

And finally I took the tape adapter wire and ran it through the middle of the hangers to hide the majority of it.

If you have any other questions Id be happy to answer them.

Matt

I hear what people are saying regarding the quality of FM transmitters. I have this Kensington unit and I really believe it sounds as good as the cassette option. Sound quality is subjective but I would say try the transmitter (looks really cool at night to!). Plus it charges the IPOD at same time. I dunno about returns but I am sure any store would take it back within a few days if you didn't like the product.

I hate wired solutions!

XCELR8 and IS300: Thanks for the pics....I'll have to study them when I'm not at work so I can fabricate something similar. I have a Ipod Photo and it didn't come with a belt clip......I guess that means I'll have to make a trip to the Apple Store to see what they have in the way of belt clips for the Photo.

luv2drive: I hear good things about the Kensington Transmitter.....where did you pick it up? I've seen it for $79 which is a little pricey compared to the cassette option. Is it true that when the music contains words with the letter "S", the Kensington draws out the "ssssss" sound? A cassette adaptor will work great in my G but my other vehicles have Alpine CD players and I am looking for a decent way to get near CD quality input into them without hardwiring.....the Kensington may be the ticket.

I bought the product from the designers of the transmitter -http://www.aerielle.com/shop/index.html

It was 79.99. The sound is fantastic and I don't notice the issue regarding the "sss" thing. For a wireless solution for the IPOD I believe it is the best on the market. I have tried others with very disappointing results... so all you guys that said the wireless solution is not good I know where you are comming from. This unit meets my requirements.

The info on PAC-NIS states that it does not work for G35 with the satelite button. but the PXNI does. To switch to my ipod mini I simply push the SAT button, it'll cycle through AUX 1 and AUX 2 (there are two AUX inputs on the unit). So far it works really well with CD sound quality, but I still need to find a good clean way to run the wires and mount the ipod mini. Right now I am running the wires through the arm rest by filing the plastic piece covering the arm rest hinges.

I have the PAC-NIS. It works with (and only with) the SAT button. I don't know where you get YOUR info but read the PAC-AQudio website. IT'S THE SAME THING.
