Hi all...
Was wondering what you guys do for interior care, especially for the leather? I've got about 7500 miles on my '04, and everything's fine except I'm starting to notice wear on the leather of the driver's seat. What can I do to slow the progress of this or even help restore it?
Thanks!

have you ever cleaned the leather at all?? with anything like a cleaner or a conditioner??
are you a detail freak, like me??
well, im not a total freak, but i've read quite a few stuff about detailing and what not... and if you dont mind reading i will point in this direction http://ocdetails.com/html/ocd_university.html check that site out. it has plenty of good good good info!!
but what yo're looking for is this, http://ocdetails.com/html/leather_care.html it's not a product, it's actually something you need to read about your leather.
the actual product i would recommend is http://www.premiumautocare.com/fostul.html
look for the "Four Star Ultimate Leather Cleaner Gel 16 Ounce" & the "Four Star Ultimate Leather Conditioner 16 Ounce" the cleaner is $9.95 & the Conditioner is $14.95.
well hope that helps

Leather MUST be kept clean and hydrated! I use Zymol cleaner to spot treat and Zymol conditioner at least once a month. If you don't, it will crack and once thats started, it's all over.

i just use the meguire's leather wipes and wipe them down once a week. I also use Meguier's Interior spray stuff. It makes it real nice and shiny. Get some of that Swiffer stuff to rid of all the interior lint and dust. Quick, easy, nice and clean.

I hit the leather with Zaino's stuff within the first 25 miles.
It was hot in the garage but I still wanted to do something.

I also use Zymol. I use the cleaner whenever I clean, and once a month (or every other month) I use the conditioner.

I use 303 Aerospace protectant for my dash/doors and tops of the rear seat headrests. In my '96 accord, the tops of the rear seat headrests are faded, so don't forget that area because they get a lot of sun.

lexol for clean and condition
then aerospace 303 for protectant--almost like a sunscreen.
check the detailing page for all your questions.

I use Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. They came in that ultimate package deal. I haven't really had to use the cleaner since I haven't had any stains, but the conditioner seems to work really well. Keeps the leather nice and hydrated without getting all oily, plus it has ner car smell built right in.

i use aerospace on all the vinyl parts of the interior and the tires and lexol cleaner and conditioner on the seats. I do this once a month.

You might not have any stains but the salt from your body will draw out the moisture from the leather. I always make a habit of washing the seats before conditioning.Originally Posted by picus112

I use a lightly moistened microfiber towel to wipe down ALL of the interior surfaces. Then I apply both Zaino 9 & 10. It works quite well.

smokedhen, what color are your seats? zaino didn't leave any marks on my black leather. it does get in the holes though if you're not careful.
